Emergency Communication Plan

Dear Parents and Guardians,

At Clarkston School District, the safety and well-being of our students is our top priority. We understand the importance of clear and timely communication, especially during emergencies or unexpected situations. We want to take this opportunity to explain the Clarkston Emergency Communication Plan and the various channels we will use to keep you informed. See attached plan for more detailed information.

Our primary goal is to ensure that you receive accurate information in a timely manner, allowing you to make well-informed decisions regarding your child's safety and welfare. To achieve this, we have established multiple avenues of communication that will be utilized based on the nature of the event or situation. These channels include the district website, automated phone calls and/or text messages, Facebook posts, email, a mailed letter home or in backpacks, and personal phone calls from building administrators.

It will be important to become familiar with the Clarkston Emergency Communication Plan, and we will regularly remind parents and guardians about the plan throughout the year. We encourage you to discuss emergency procedures with your children at home, emphasizing the importance of following instructions and staying calm during any emergency. We remain committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for all students. By working together and staying connected, we can ensure their well-being. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns regarding the Clarkston Emergency Communication Plan.
